Opened since July 2002, this resort is designed to be the most exclusive resort in French Polynesia. Superbly located on Motu Tautau on the coral reef, the resort faces the island of Taha'a on the lagoon side and offers an unsurpassed view on Bora Bora island on the ocean side. This traditional Polynesian style hotel is 5 minutes by boat from main island of Taha'a and 35 min by boat from Raiatea Island. The resort offers 48 Over Water Suites & 12 Beach Suites more than a hundred square meters in size. The public areas are built in the trees, providing an exquisite view on the lagoon and Taha'a Island.

Amenities include a private patio & tropical gardens, private swimming pool (beach villas), spacious lounge and terrace, private deck with direct access to the lagoon (over water bungalows), ceiling fan, air-conditioning, coffee/tea facilities, mini bar, hair dryer, make up mirror, safety box, television, CD player, and IDD telephone.

Activities

Le Taha’a features a fresh water swimming pool that is next to the beach and surrounded by decked and tiled areas with lounge chairs. It is serviced throughout the day by a pool bar and restaurant "La Plage". Jet skis, water ski, 1 tennis court night lighted. Petanque (Bacci ball) area, volleyball court, beach, and Jacuzzi. There is a full range of excursions to discover the wonders of the island of Taha'a by sea or by land which includes a vanilla plantation and the black pearl farms. The resort proposes two different boutiques: one which offers every day conveniences as well as a large sample of local handicrafts, and the other which features the natural jewels of our Pacific lagoons, the world famous black pearls. Unforgettable Helicopter tours from Taha’a and Bora Bora, daily shuttle service (am/pm) and islands discovery excursions. The best way to combine Bora Bora and Taha’a together in an excursion is with a new gym, new library/lounge area and a new dive center near the beach. Divers will enjoy the marine fauna that is incredibly rich, varied and colorful. Underwater topography is also not without interest, with impressive depths, grottoes and crevices. One of our special features is the presence of the Distichopora coral, which creates superb yellow and violet tones on the outward slopes.

Restaurants and Bars

La Plage: Located by the pool and beachside.

Vanille & Ohiri: Both restaurants are located in the heart of the resort among the trees. Vanille is the main restaurant while Ohiri is for fine dining.

Beach barbecues are for your enjoyment while the Polynesian and seafood buffets are accompanied with live entertainment.
