In fact the density of the fish in the lagoon is so high that Jacques Cousteau's research group declared that Tikehau's lagoon contained the highest concentration of fish in all of the Tuamotu atolls.

Located on secluded white sandy beaches fringed with palms, the Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort offers Beach Bungalows and Over Water Bungalows.

Accommodations

The Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort offers 8 Beach Bungalows, 6 Premium Beach Bungalows, 8 Overwater Bungalows, 8 Premium Overwater Bungalows and 8 Overwater Suites (from 45m² to 93m²).

All bungalows, designed in true Polynesian style, are very spacious and are equipped with a fan, mini bar, coffee / tea making facilities, direct dial phone, safe, television and private verandah.

The Over Water Bungalows include a glass section of the floor from which to enjoy the spectacular underwater life of the lagoon.

Activities

Many excursions and activities are proposed to benefit from this heavenly location. Diving is the main attraction of the island. The beauty and abundance of its fauna account for the popularity of scuba diving especially in the Tuheiava pass where the manta rays' dance alternates with a parade of barracuda and tuna, not to mention the grey and the white tipped sharks.

Le Porecho: The beautifully appointed Poreho Restaurant in the Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort sits just a few feet away from the lagoon and specializes in unique French, Polynesian, and International dishes.

Le Tianoa Bar: Right between the pool and the beach, serves cool drinks and cocktails daily.
